It was at Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she scored one of the most memorable sports moments ever - the first-ever perfect 10, on the bars that were asymmetrical. After that, in the year 1976 she was able to score six more perfect tens, and was the youngest Olympic gold medallist. Nadia Comaneci didn't just draw worldwide attention; she also brought Romania onto the map. With a score that was unattainable the sport's icon helped bring gymnastics into the spotlight of international interest. In addition, it changed people's perspective of female athletes.
